Jennifer Collier: Stitched Paper Shoes (full day)


Creating decorative paper shoes from beautiful vintage, found and recycled papers. You will have a choice of four different types of shoes to make; a stiletto, a sandal, a lace up shoe or an 'Alice' style T Bar shoe. You will be shown a range of paper construction techniques, such as paper roses, covered buttons and Suffolk Puffs to decorate, and a range of hand stitches to embellish them. You will also make a decorated shoebox to present them in. All materials are provided but do bring along your own special papers, books or maps to personalise your work.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop)

All materials and use of equipment are included, but you may wish to bring your own papers to personalise.

Please bring a packed lunch. However cold drinks, tea & coffee will be provided.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
