Nawal Gebreel: Eco-printing on Paper workshop

Contact printing using plant materials is often called eco-printing- You will use this method to make frameable prints from plants. You will learn to identify different plants and will use tools and equipment to experiment with different processing methods to grasp the basics of eco-printing on paper. You can also opt to make a simple notebook using the decorative paper that you printed and will also be shown how to take your prints further by adding some drawing and painting. All materials and equipment are provided but please bring fresh flowers and leaves to print with, such as leaves from fruit trees, Japanese Maple, Cherry, Blackberry, Eucalyptus, Sycamore, Fern, Herb Robert, Buddleia. Flowers and petals from Chrysanthemum, Cosmos, Gerbera, Passionflower, Daisy, Dahlia, Marigold, Dandelion and Zinnia. And leaves and petals from Hydrangeas, Roses and Geraniums.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake will be provided!

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
