Liz Cooksey: Wire Woodlands


This workshop will provide you with the opportunity to explore and experiment with wire and other materials to produce a small standing sculpture suggestive of natural forms/woodland. Learning simple ways to shape wire, to combine and incorporate threads, fabric and printed papers, using hand stitching techniques, wrapping and binding. The day’s explorations will be embedded into small wooden plinths to produce a final standing sculpture. All materials will be provided, including a small wooden plinth but you may wish to bring to bring along your own driftwood or reclaimed wood, along with any favourite threads, scrapes of fabrics, collage papers, plyers and hand sewing kit.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop)

Please bring a packed lunch. However cold drinks, tea & coffee will be provided.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.
