Jennifer Collier: Paper Lampshades

Create a 30 x 30cm 6 panel lampshade from beautiful recycled papers. You will be provided with a pattern, which you will have the opportunity to customize to suit your taste, and the light shade frame (which can be an up or down lighter). You will spend the day working with vintage papers to create the panels for the shade, and will be shown embellishment techniques to decorate these. You will then be shown to how to stitch the papers together to form the shade. NB There will be a £10 charge (payable on the day) for the light shade frame and paper pattern. You may also wish to bring your own special papers, books and maps to personalize *As these shades are machine stitched together YOU MUST BE ABLE TO USE A SEWING MACHINE TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS WORKSHOP*

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is
recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However cold drinks, tea & coffee will be provided.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
