Jennifer Collier: Hand Stitched Fabric Light Shades and Tea Lights


In this workshop you will learn stitches French Knots, Bullion Roses, running stitch, straight stitch, Picot Stitch and Needle Lace Stitches, that will be used to produce a hand stitched fabric panel or panels. You will have a choice of making this into a 20cm diameter light shade (which can be used with on a lamp stand or as a ceiling light) or two 10cm diameter tea light holders.
All materials and equipment are provided, and the light shade and tealight making kits are included in the cost of the workshop, but you may wish to bring your own cotton fabric to personalise (min size 55x20cm for a shade/ 33x15cm for a tealight). The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled due to coronavirus you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However cold drinks, tea & coffee will be provided.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
