Ali Ferguson: Patchwood Sampler- Personal Collections workshop

A gorgeous day of hand stitching with a difference creating a ‘stitched sampler’ from ‘patches’ of wood. You will create seven individual patches embellished with your own small treasures all hand stitched into place. These will then be stitched together to create your unique wall piece. You could make a sampler inspired by your family, memories of childhood, holidays, special places or perhaps a favourite hobby.
All materials and equipment are provided but bring your own small treasures to embellish it (7 patches with the largest 12cm x 7cm approx.) such as paper ephemera, haberdashery, garden inspired or nature finds, postcards, recipes, maps, children’s drawings, tickets or small photos etc.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop). However IF this workshops has to be cancelled you will of course receive a refund in full.

All materials and use of equipment are included, however it is recommended that you bring a few items to personalise the work (as listed above)

Please bring a packed lunch. However hot and cold drinks, biscuits and cake will be provided!

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.

Please be aware the workshop artists retain the intellectual property to their own ideas- you cannot go into business making, or running workshops showing copies of the artists work. You can however use the ideas for personal use and with your own students, if you are a teacher.
