Ellie Birkhead: Exploring a sense of place through brush making


Working with an array of local materials, participants will learn the skills of brush making as well as learning about and exploring a sense of place. Ellie will teach traditional techniques and encourage the participants to combine these new skills with a creative and imaginative use of unexpected materials. Please bring materials that have some sort of connection to a place, such as twigs, sticks, driftwood, bamboo cane, antlers, bone, animal hair, feathers, net, rope, vegetable fibres etc.

The workshop is 10 - 4pm

Full payment will be taken at time of booking (this is non refundable or transferable to a different workshop)

Please bring a packed lunch. However cold drinks, tea & coffee will be provided.

Under 16’s must be accompanied by a participating, paying adult.
